Accessibility Statement
Draft for legal review. Highlighted items must be confirmed by counsel before this page is relied on.
Our commitment to making the ReelBase website usable by everyone, how we test it, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us about a problem.
Our goal
We aim for this website (myreelbase.com) to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is a target we design and test against, not a claim of conformance. No formal conformance claim is made until a human audit is completed and recorded.
How we build and test
- Automated checks: every page in the automated test suite is scanned with axe (axe-core) in English and Spanish, and the code is linted with strict accessibility rules. We also run Lighthouse accessibility audits.
- Manual checks: a checklist covering keyboard-only use, visible focus, focus order, skip link, menus and dialogs, screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack), zoom to 200% and 400%, reflow at 320 pixels wide, text spacing, reduced motion, forced colors / high contrast, form errors and color contrast.
- Design rules: one main heading per page, logical heading order, labels on every control, information never conveyed by color alone, touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels, respect for "reduce motion" settings, and no flashing content.
- Language: each page declares its language (English or Spanish), and the language switcher marks each option with its language.
We do not use accessibility overlay widgets.
Known limitations
- Illustrative product mockups on this site are pictures of the ReelBase interface built with sample data. They are presented as images with text alternatives that describe what they show; the controls inside them are not interactive.
- The ReelBase application (app.myreelbase.com) is a separate product with its own accessibility status. It has not yet been audited against WCAG 2.2.
- The Windows ingest agent installer and the DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro panels have not been audited for accessibility. The panels also depend on the accessibility support of the host editing application.
- Videos on this site, if any, should have captions and transcripts; confirm captions/transcripts for each video before publishing it.
