Privacy Requests
Draft for legal review. Highlighted items must be confirmed by counsel before this page is relied on.
Use this page to ask what personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, delete it, opt out, or appeal a decision we made about an earlier request.
What you can ask for
- Access: a copy of the personal information this website holds about you (for example a demo request you sent), in a portable format.
- Correction: fix information that is inaccurate.
- Deletion: delete your information, subject to limited legal exceptions (for example records we must keep).
- Opt-out: opt out of sale, targeted advertising or profiling. We do none of these, but you can still file the request, and you can withdraw consent to optional analytics on the cookie preferences page.
- Appeal: ask us to reconsider if we declined all or part of an earlier request.
These rights apply to information collected through this website. If your request is about content inside a customer's ReelBase workspace (for example a review comment you left for a production company), that customer controls it; we will forward your request to them. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How we verify requests
We will email you at the address you provide to confirm the request came from you. We match the request against the information we already hold, and may ask for one or two more details. We will not ask for more information than we need, and we use it only to verify and respond.
Authorized agents
An authorized agent may submit a request for you by checking the agent option on the form. We may ask the agent for signed permission from you and ask you to confirm your identity directly with us.
Timelines
We aim to respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If we need more time, we may extend once by up to 45 more days and will tell you why. Appeals are answered within 60 days. There is no charge for requests (up to two per 12 months; counsel to confirm).
Appeals
If we decline your request, our response will explain why and how to appeal. Choose "Appeal" on this form, include the date of our original response, and we will review the decision. If you remain unsatisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
You can also email our contact page. Submitting a request will never affect the service or prices you receive from us.
